Enterprise Week 2025 runs from Monday 17 to Friday 21 November with the theme: “Together We Build”.

This week-long programme – part of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week – is developed and delivered in partnership with local enterprise agencies: CIDO Ltd, Banbridge District Enterprise Ltd, Mayfair Business Centre, Armagh Business Centre, and Brownlow Ltd.

It features a dynamic mix of inspirational events, drop-in clinics, webinars, and information sessions, all designed to support the resilience, collaboration, and growth of the borough’s local business community.

Enterprise Week provides the perfect opportunity for local firms to connect, share ideas, and showcase innovation. It continues to be a valued annual fixture in the borough’s business calendar, reinforcing the message that together, we build stronger businesses and communities.

Monday 17th November

AI Advantage

Discover how AI can save you time, improve your marketing, and support growth – even if you’ve never used it before. AI is no longer just for tech giants – it’s now accessible, affordable, and ready to support everyday businesses. But with so many tools and so much hype, it can be hard to know where to start.

This workshop, delivered by Flax & Teal in partnership with CIDO and supported by Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council, is designed for businesses that want to understand how to use AI tools in a practical, safe, and impactful way.

Through demonstrations, group exercises, and real examples, you’ll learn how AI can:

  • Save hours each week by automating routine tasks
  • Improve your website and marketing content
  • Help you research new customers and markets
  • Give constructive feedback on your products and services

You don’t need technical skills – just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

The Year 2 Student Engagement Event will be held in SRC Banbridge. The event provides Year 2 Health and Social Care students from Armagh and Newry with the opportunity to hear directly from professionals working across a range of health and social care disciplines within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT).

A series of informative talks will introduce students to different teams and services within the Trust, highlighting the range of roles, responsibilities, and collaborative work carried out to support patients and service users.

As part of Enterprise Week, this event is one in a weeklong series of exciting opportunities for local entrepreneurs and businesses.

This session will bring together successful practitioners and industry experts from the food and drink sector, offering valuable insights, shared experiences, and practical advice.

Speakers will reflect on their own journeys to success while also exploring emerging

trends, key industry challenges, and potential opportunities — particularly within the local food landscape.

Several local food and drink producers will be in attendance, showcasing their products and gaining exposure.

The event also provides a valuable platform for networking, collaboration, and peer learning – both for those exhibiting and for attendees looking to connect within the industry.

Alan Bridle – UK economist & market analyst, Bank of Ireland UK, having held several positions within the BoI group in a 39-year career, including with the investment Bank of

Ireland, Global Markets and UK strategy divisions.

A graduate of Queen’s University, winning the Adam Smith Prize, Alan has appeared regularly as a commentator and co-authored the NI Quarterly Housing Survey with Ulster University for more than a decade, as well as making regular contributions in regional media.

Alan has been a member of CBI Northern Ireland’s economic strategy group and the steering committee of Catalyst’s Knowledge Economy Index. Currently Alan is a Northern Ireland representative on the All-Island Economy Project with IBEC & ESRI and

Intertrade Ireland’s Research Reference Group. Previously, he was also appointed by the DSD minister to the independent panel of experts on housing affordability in the region.

Alison Ewing is the UK Fraud Customer Experience Manager at Bank of Ireland, where she leads education and awareness initiatives to help protect customers against scams and financial crime. Frequently quoted in Bank of Ireland press releases and the media, she provides guidance on fraud trends such as impersonation calls, smishing, and online scams.

Alison plays a key role in national initiatives like the 159 Financial Fraud Line and is active in community outreach, hosting fraud awareness events across the UK to strengthen customer resilience and promote safe banking practices.

Sinéad Lunny is Managing Director of Vocalis, a voice and communication skills company. She also runs an award-winning 200-strong Speech and Drama school, is an actor, voiceover artist, event host and keynote speaker. A courtroom lawyer for many years, Sinéad draws on her courtroom experience and Speech and Drama skillset to provide unique, top quality corporate workshops in how to use one’s voice for maximum effect.

The components required to deliver a dramatic performance or run a trial successfully are the same as those required to address a group of people with confidence, deliver a presentation with gusto or to present a pitch impactfully.

Jonny, AKA The Hungry Hooker, is a former professional rugby player who has always had a passion for baking and cooking. His love for the culinary arts was nurtured in childhood by his beloved Nanny Mamie. After an early retirement from rugby due to injury, Jonny embraced this passion and, with encouragement from friends and family, started a small wholesale bakery.

Initially creating easy-to-follow recipe videos to boost sales of his delicious buns, Jonny’s social media presence quickly gained traction, attracting a dedicated following. Now back home, he is reliving cherished memories by cooking and baking traditional homely recipes with his Nanny.

Baking has become a therapeutic outlet for both of them, helping to heal after a turbulent couple of years. Jonny’s openness about their journey has resonated with many, prompting people to shar their own stories.
